Downloading
Where do I put my downloaded chart?
We'll place it on your card for you automatically!
I purchased my chart but the download interrupted. What to do now?
Reconnect your card to the PC and launch the Navionics Chart Installer by double clicking its icon on your Desktop. You will be prompted to download your chart again for as long as 30 days from initial purchase.
Dealer
I am a Navionics dealer and want to register as a Dealer in the web store too. What should I do?
Contact Navionics Customer Service and you will be informed with a specific web address where you can apply for a dealer status.
I completed the dealer application form but my sales conditions in the web store have not changed. What is the reason?
Navionics will verify your application to make sure you are indeed entitled to have the status requested. The moment your status has been changed you will receive a notification by email sent to the same address you have used at time of application.
Cards
Can I use any type of memory card for purchasing a chart?
No. To purchase a chart in the web store you need to have a specific Navionics memory card. This memory card can be obtained at your Navionics dealer. A generic memory card will not be recognized by the store and you will not be able to access it.
Updates
I have a Navionics chart that I want to update but when connecting it to the web store I cannot proceed.
The Freshest Data update service will become operational in Q1 of 2011 and be available for charts published in 2010. For updating your current chart you will have to contact a Navionics dealer and follow the standard procedure.
Payment
Which payment methods are available?
We offer payments through PayPal. The preferred method will be through the use of a PayPal account that you already may have, or you can set one up at the occasion. As an alternative you may opt for a direct credit card transaction.

A. You can re-download the app from the beginning within 365 days from purchase.

A. The App is available in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish. By default the App is in the language of your computer`s OS.

Q. Can I download Navionics PC App on a Mac using an emulator?
A. Yes, but features relying on an internet connection will not work.
Q. I mistakenly deleted Navionics PC App from my computer. Can I re-download it free of charge?
A. You can re-download app and charts anytime you wish within 365 days from purchase, just log into the Navionics WebStore with the same details used to buy the first time.
Q. Is Navionics PC App compatible with Linux?
A. No.
Q. Is Navionics PC App compatible with E-PC?
A. No, due to resolution issues. For the moment the minimum resolution supported by Navionics PC App is 1027X768.
Q. What are my options if I only have an E-PC?
A. You can connect your E-Pc to a screen with a higher resolution via a VGA cable.
Q. If I purchase Navionics PC App, can I download it on more than one computer?
A. Yes, you can download PC App to up to 5 devices (PC or Mac).
Q. How do I download the Pc App to another computer?
A. You have two options: 1) Save the installer file on a removable disk, transfer it to the other computer and launch installation; 2) Access the Navionics WebStore with the same details used to purchase the PC App and repeat the procedure of the first do
Q. How do I change my Password?
A. To change your password, enter the Navionics Web Store and click on the "Account" tab on the bottom right bar. You will be brought to a page allowing to change your password.
Q. How do I retrieve my Password?
A. Username is your email address. To retrieve your password, you must simulate a purchase in the Navionics Web Store and use the Registration page to retrieve your password.
Q. Can I use the Navionics PC App on my computer with an external GPS?
A. No, the app doesn`t allow an interface with an external GPS.
Q. Can I upload the chart I downloaded with my Navionics PC App on my plotter chip?
A. No. The chart contained in your Navionics PC App is exclusive to you PC App and is not compatible with other hardware. Doing this sort of operation you could loose both your PC App chart and your plotter chart.
Q. Is the chart I downloaded with my Navionics PC App an update of my plotter chip?
A. No. The chart contained in your Navionics PC App is not to be considered as an update to you plotter chip.
Q. Can I upload my plotter chip chart to my Navionics PC App?
A. No. The chart contained in your plotter chip is exclusive to that chip and can not be uploaded to your computer. Doing this sort of operation you could loose both your PC App chart and your plotter chart.
Q. Can I upload routes and markers created with my Navionics PC App to my plotter?
A. Yes. Look for the "Export/Import data to and from plotter" feature in Settings.
Q. Is the "Export/Import data to and from plotter" feature compatible both with PC and Mac?
A. Yes, a part for Raymarine plotters. Routes and Markers created on Raymarine plotters can only be read on PC.
Q. What are the plotter models that allow me to transfer my routes and markers to and from my PC?
A. Raymarine (A Series, A65 Series, C Series, E Series, RC Series), Furuno NavNet, Humminbird, Lowrance, Northstar, Geonav.

A. You will need to connect a card reader to your PC, and a CF/SD memory card to export/import your data.

Q. I bought Navionics PC App, but do not see any detail in the chart. What is wrong?
A. The first time you access the app, you must download the maps by filling in requested Registration Details. This operation will take some time.
Q. How am I notified of available updates?
A. Accessing the app, you are automatically notified by Navionics of available updates.
Q. Are updates referred to the App or to charts?
A. Both, usually updates contain software features implementations and any chart updates when available.
Q. Can I save a WP or a Marker searching by Lat&Long?
A. The Navionics App, gives you the possibility to search a point by Lat&Long. You can Search by Lat/Long by entering the coordinates and clicking Done. You are brought back to the map. Clicking on the bubble you will be able to save a Marker on the exact

Q. How much storage space will Navionics PC App consume on my computer?
A. The Windows PC App is 15 MB. The Mac app is 73 MB. As to the maps, it varies depending on the one download, but is typically 100-200MBs, and can be as much as 525MBs.
Q. The network connection was interrupted and so was the download. How can I resume?
A. Start the process over from the beginning. You will not be able to use the app until download is completed.
Q. Can I get Tides & Currents information on my Navionics PC App?
A. Yes. Navionics marine charts include Tide and Current icons. By clicking on the "T" or "C" symbol on your chart, and it will present the Tide and Current data along with a graphic trend line, show the current time of day, sun and moon rise
Q. Does Navionics Mobile support 3D?
A. No.
Q. Can I create multiple waypoints?
A. Yes. Up to 99 waypoints can now be set on a single route. You can create and save up to 100 routes.
Q. Does the Navionics PC App have Range and Bearing?
A. Yes, Range and Bearing are available, you can find them on the top of the screen when the Distance feature is active. Range and bearing info is also available in the Route info page, in reference to WPs.
Q. Is there a limit to the number of `Favorites` I can save?
A. You can store up to 200 Favorites or Markers (routes, objects, currents, POI).
Q. Can I plan my navigation?
A. Yes. It is possible to create a route with up to 99 waypoints. To plan a route simply tap/select the WP (waypoint) button then tap on the map to begin placing your waypoints, thus creating a route. An UNDO button appears for easy editing.
Q. Is there a limit to the number of `Routes` I can save?
A. You can store up to 100 Routes.
Q. Where does my user data get stored?
A. Wp, Routes, Markers are stored in the computer in the installation folder.

A. No. You can only search the following categories: Marinas, Marine & Outdoor shops, Boat Dealer, Tide, Current and Waterfront Restaurant.
Q. I do not have access to Wi-Fi. Can I download the Navionics PC App?
A. Yes. An internet connection is enough to download the app.
Q. Can I back-up Navionics PC App on my computer?
A. To back-up your PC App, you need to save the "charts" folder contained in the installation package. If you re-install your app, you will then need to copy this folder to the new directory you have saved you app in. All users data will be lost in backin

Q. When my friends receive my email with my .KMZ file attached what can they do with it?
A. The Routes and Markers you share can be easily overlayed in Google Earth or Google Maps by clickin gon the email attachment.
Q. I cannot open the .kmz file I received as an attachment in an email that was sent to me. What can I do to view it?
A. You must have Google Earth installed to view .kmz files. Once installed, you can click on the .kmz file and it will then appear in Google Earth or Google Maps in the exact location where route or marker was created.
Q. How do I pay?
A. To purchase an app from the Navionics Web Store, you have to set up an account. Once done this, every time you buy a product you will pay directly through your account.

A. All sales are final. Once the Navionics application is downloaded, you cannot cancel or withdraw your purchase.
